Based in St. Louis since 1839, Schaeffer is the oldest lubricant manufacturer in the USA, having provided Black Beauty Grease for the Conestoga wagons heading west and Red Oil for the paddle wheels traversing the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers as our great country was being explored and settled.

Schaeffer’s consistently reduces heat, friction, and wear. This results in extended component life, reducing downtime and lowering total operational costs better than any other conventional lubricant we are aware of.

Our MFG and distribution system is strategically placed for excellent delivery times, normally 2-3 days. Since the pandemic, shortages of base stocks, additives, and transportation backlogs have slowed us down somewhat. Currently, we are averaging 7-10 business days or sooner, so gauge your ordering accordingly.
It is important to note that orders over $500.00 qualify for free freight in the lower 48 states, so whenever possible, try to meet the minimum order amount. International shipping is available through your consolidator or existing distribution networks
